The Kuoka Project

Kuoka is a Swahili word that means 'to bake'. Baking is what staking is called on the Tezos blockchain. Node operators on Tezos network are called bakers. Before 2021, there were 0 (zero) Tezos bakers in Africa.

Milestone 1 Goal for Kuoka Project

To establish 10 self-sustaining independent public bakers (Tezos staking nodes) across sub-Saharan Africa.

Progress Map

As the number of bakers in Africa continues to grow, and as the progress of the Kuoka Project extends, this map will update to display all new locations. In alignment with the Milestone 1 Kuoka Project goal we itend for, 10 different sub-Saharan African states to be lit.
